The Fire Station Studio

The Fire Station is the studio of ceramicist, Magda van der Vloed, whose work has spanned exhibitions and sales in galleries all over South Africa, Europe, Australia, Norway, Sweden and the US as well as with artisans in Mozambique and Zambia under various agencies and organisations.

Magda’s current work includes hand-crafted homeware ceramics sold in conjunction with The Free State Design Company—inside The Service Station Wine Bar—as well as her own, unique ceramic art. The studio is located in what was once Rosendal’s volunteer fire station.
